Get paid in rand, straight from your CRM
Accept one-time payments, subscriptions and saved-card payments in ZAR through Payfast, and keep every order's status in sync automatically.
What you can do
One-time payments
Customers pay in a secure Payfast window. The order is marked paid as soon as Payfast confirms it.
Subscriptions
Bill daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, every six months or yearly. Renewals flow back to your CRM automatically.
Saved cards
Customers can save a card at checkout. Charge it later in one click, or start a subscription on it.
Refunds
Refund in full or in part from your CRM, never more than was paid.
Verified status updates
Every Payfast notification is checked for signature, sender, amount and confirmation from Payfast before an order is marked paid.
Sandbox and live modes
Test everything with a free Payfast sandbox account, then switch to live.
How it works
- Install the app on your sub-account.
- Open its settings and add your Payfast merchant ID, merchant key and passphrase.
- Press Save and connect, then run a sandbox test payment.
- Switch to live and start getting paid.
You will need: a Payfast merchant account with a passphrase set and notifications (ITN) switched on. Payments are in South African Rand (ZAR), with a minimum of R5.00 per payment, which is a Payfast rule.
Built to be safe
- Customers enter card details on Payfast, so card numbers are never stored by this app.
- Your Payfast keys and passphrase are encrypted.
- Each account's records are kept separate.
Pricing
R200 once-off
Payfast's own transaction fees apply and are charged by Payfast.
Good to know
- Free trials are not available on Payfast subscriptions.
- Subscriptions can be billed daily, weekly, monthly, every three months, every six months or yearly.
- Payfast does not process refunds in its sandbox. Test refunds with a small live payment.
